“Kipling said we, “should fill the unforgiving minute with sixty seconds worth of distance run." Gandhi observed that, “there is more to life than increasing its speed.” There will always be some who race and some who saunter. Each brevet has room for both. Some seek minimum times, some seek maximal comfort or style. At the end of the road, at the end of the day, all are rewarded.” --K. Peterson, Bicycle Quarterly Vol. 5, No. 1

I am looking to buy a used women's road bike ( i moved up here without my bike and i want to train for the gold nugget tri in may)
Any ideas on where to find some good prices used road bikes? anyone know anyone selling one?
Hi Shelley,
I'll put the word out. Any idea what size you're looking for? Steel, Aluminum, Carbon? Are you watching Craigslist? There are some other Anchorage cycling forums you might want to keep an eye on too.
Also, go talk to Greg at Speedway, Rose at Paramount, Jamie at ChainReaction, or Bob V at REI, or the folks at the Bike Shop. They may have a better sense of what's going on out there in the used market.
Let us know if you find one. Then come join us on a randonnee.
